The goal of our installation is to layout the most straight, direct route of tubing and to assure you, our client, the most
efficient built-in vacuum possible. While placing the inlet valves in the most convenient, efficient, inconspicuous and easy
to use locations, we will not interfere with or compromise the integrity of the structure in which it is installed.
1. Tubing
- We will only use the highest quality virgin PVC tubing made, no "regrinds" which cause rough interior finishes.
- All cuts are to be made with a thin-wall tubing cutter for straight, clean cuts, leaving no gaps between pipe and fitting seat.
- All pipes to be deburred, thus further assuring proper gluing and seating of pipe.
- Never will we use a hacksaw unless forced to!
2. Fittings
- We will only use top quality fittings which are produced in polished stainless steel molds and are 25% heavier than inferior fittings.
- All fittings to have 3/4" cuff-not 1/2".
- We will only install tight 90 degree elbows at the inlet valve connection and will make offset jogs with two 45 degrees ells not two 90 degree ells.
- We will never install drop out tees (where the sweep part of a tee goes directly on top of another inlet valve run) because debris can fall down to the unused inlet.
3. Wire
- We will only install CL 2 Fire-Rated 20 gauge wire or stronger for our low voltage wiring.
- Wire will be secured to the pipe every 5' minimum and at most elbows with plastic wire tye wraps or tape to insure a neat and safe installation.
- Nail on safety plates will be installed to prevent drywall nails from accidentally protruding into the tubing.
4. Inlet Valves
- All inlets to be installed at exact height corresponding to electrical outlets unless otherwise specified.
- We will never install less outlets than required to adequately reach all areas with a hose 35' long, but preferably 30' long.
- We will always attempt to provide as accurate of color match inlet valves as possible.
5. Power Unit
- We will never install any power unit which is not adequately designed to handle the home into which it is installed.
- We will always double check each finished installation to insure that it has the proper suction and air flow.
- We will never install a power unit which will emit dust or debris from the exhaust into the room into which it is installed.
- We will never knowingly sell any consumer anything they do not need!
The extra time required for our demanding standards is well worth the extra effort to us, the contractor, and to you the end user. Demand these standards from whoever you have install your vacuum system; the vacuum system can only be as good as the installation. |
