For homes packed with beautiful, sealed wood floors, tiles, polished concrete and other hard floor surfaces, a hard floor cleaner is a godsend. Intelligent 2-in-1 cleaning machines, hard floor cleaners simultaneously mop and vacuum your floors, removing the need for pre-vacuuming and cutting cleaning time in half!

Better yet, hard floor cleaners make it easier to deal with fiddly combination messes. For example, most vacuums can’t be run over wet spills, while mopping dry debris and messes is ineffective and difficult. But, with a hard floor cleaner, a bowl of spilt cereal, or soil and water from a toppled monstera, for example, can be easily dealt with all at one time, no handling necessary!

Which is why we’re excited to welcome the Tineco S7 PRO Hard Floor Cleaner to the Godfreys line-up! Packed full of clever design and cleaning tech, the latest addition from the experts at Tineco might just be their best!

Find out why, below.

Tineco: a trusted name in cleaning

Tineco has long been bringing some of the most impressive and forward-thinking surface cleaners to the market. Whether you need to clean tile or laminate, hardwood or carpet, chances are Tineco has a product to match.

The current Tineco range includes a smart carpet washer, a range of intelligent, high-tech stick vacuums and an existing hard floor cleaner, the Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 PRO.

Why we (already) love the S5 PRO

Exclusive to Godfreys, Tineco’s existing hard floor cleaner — the FLOOR ONE S5 PRO — is already a fantastic machine.

Featuring many of the same features and benefits that have been carried through to the brand new S7 PRO, just some of what we love about the S5 PRO includes:

  • LCD display with vivid 3D animation for easy monitoring and guidance
  • iLoop™ Smart Sensor detects dust and automatically adjusts water flow and suction power
  • Three suction modes for versatile cleaning
  • HEPA filtration captures dust and improves air quality
  • Self-cleaning system cleans the roller brush and dirty water channel at the touch of a button
  • Edge-brush design cleans against walls and in corners

However, the new S7 PRO not only stands out even further from the competition, but from the S5 PRO as well, thanks to the introduction of some new features, and some improvements to existing ones.

Introducing the S7 PRO

While the S5 PRO is undoubtedly an excellent machine, the S7 PRO takes what it did and goes even further.

A cleaner that goes the distance

High-capacity water tanks and stronger battery power allow you to clean with fewer interruptions, less refilling and less emptying. That means a faster and more efficient clean for you.

The S7 PRO offers up to about 40 minutes of continuous runtime (enough to clean up to about 300m2! *). Not only does that improve on the S5 PRO (with a runtime of up to 35 minutes) but many other hard floor cleaners too!

*Based on Tineco laboratory data, actual results may vary depending on home environment.

Suction-only mode

The S7 PRO includes four cleaning modes, tailored for any job. Importantly, unlike many other hard floor cleaners, a suction-only mode means you can disengage the water jets and use your hard floor cleaner solely as a vacuum, offering even more versatility!

While the S5 PRO also stands out with a suction-only mode, the S7 PRO adds a new Ultra mode that uses electrolysed water to offer a more hygienic and sanitary clean.

The four cleaning modes are:

  • Auto mode – utilises the intelligent iLoop sensor to detect messes and automatically adjust suction power and water flow, providing the optimal clean. The best option for your regular cleaning.
  • Ultra mode – uses electrolysed water, which can effectively sanitise surfaces, to offer a deeper, more hygienic clean.
  • Max Mode – engages max power and water flow for sucking up and wiping down tougher messes.
  • Suction mode – disables water jets, allowing you to vacuum messes without the mopping function.

Fresh water, every time.

Virtually all hard floor cleaners offer dual tanks, which keep clean water and solution separate from dirty water that is sucked back into the machine. This helps ensure that dirty water isn’t reapplied to your floors, as is common with a bucket and mop.

The S7 PRO, however, takes this a step further.

The S7 PRO evenly disperses fresh water along the top of the roller scrubber as it sucks dirty water from the bottom and immediately into the tank. At the same time, a unique floating scraper squeezes the roller as it spins, removing any residue that may have remained on the roller.

That means you not only have clean water going onto your floors, but a fresh and clean roller scrubbing them too!

Self-cleaning

Once the S7 PRO is done cleaning your floors, the clean-up is equally as effortless. In fact, you can simply return it to its charging dock and the S7 PRO will clean itself! With Centrifugal Air Drying, the roller and pipes are cleaned and dried, maintaining a more hygienic machine and reducing odours.

So, it’s always fresh, clean, and charged — ready for your next clean!

A smooth and effortless clean, thanks to self-propulsion

A smart feature not often seen, but one that adds a lot to the comfort of the machine, is Tineco’s SmoothPower self-propulsion system. As you push and pull the S7 PRO, the machine detects the direction, and assists you, creating a smooth, effortless, and manoeuvrable experience.

Everything else

Of course, all the above are just a few of the standout features. We haven’t even mentioned the dual-sided brush that gets right up to edges, the head lights that illuminate your way or the magnetic rollers that quickly snap on and off for easy maintenance!

Hard floor cleaners vs steam: which is best?

Both hard floor cleaners and steam cleaners are excellent options for your home. But ‘which is best’ isn’t really a simple answer, as they don’t quite do the same thing!

A steam cleaner isn’t designed to clean up messes. Rather, it helps clean, sanitise, and kill bacteria. Depending on the design, it may also be used on grouting and faucets, couches, curtains and more!

While steam cleaners and mops are great for killing dust mites and removing mould and mildew — or even just making your tiles shine — you wouldn’t want to run one over spilt spaghetti! Rather, you should ensure floors have been vacuumed first, and that there isn’t any remaining debris.

It’s also worth noting that steam mops are most comfortable on tiles and concrete. While they can be used on sealed wooden floors, you need to exercise caution. If your floors are not properly sealed, hot steam could make its way down cracks and into the wood, causing it to warp.

Hard floor cleaners, however, are great for not just cleaning floors, but sucking up and washing messes too. So, while you can use them to add a nice shine to freshly vacuumed floors, they can also do the heavy lifting of vacuuming, cleaning, washing, scrubbing, and sanitising!
